Theo Androus - Leading Authority on Mastering Your Internal Dialogue

Internal Dialogue is the conversation you have with yourself. It is the key ingredient for success in every dimension of your life. Drawing on his remarkable story, Theo shares with audiences a process by which ordinary people can produce extraordinary results.

In April of 1999 a freak soccer injury left Theo's leg shattered into six individual pieces. If this had occurred in the 1950's, the leg would have been removed. Instead, doctors skewered a titanium rod through the center of his tibia. He spent six days in the hospital, thirty days in bed and three months in a wheelchair. A year later he tore the ACL in his other leg. Five weeks later he ran his first marathon.

An injury such as this often marks the end of an athlete's career. For Theo, it was only the beginning. The following year he competed in one of the most grueling endurance events in the world - the Ironman Triathlon - a one-day race consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run. His remarkable recovery has been the subject of international media attention, including features in the USA Today and on NBC4 Sports with George Michael.

He was recognized as the greatest comeback story of the 2001 Florida Ironman. .
